Duties of the Town Clerk's Office
The Town Clerk’s Office records activities of the Town Government and is the central place in which all documents and papers vital to the lives of the townspeople are filed. The Town Clerk has custody of all the records, books, and papers of the Town. Certificates such as marriage, birth, and death; dog licenses, conservation licenses, and handicap parking permits are issued by the Town Clerk.
Other services offered by the Town Clerk's Office are: Notary Services, Planning and Zoning Laws, Plattekill Police Accident Reports, FOIL - Records Request, Evening Scheduling for Community Center, Voting Registration, Handicap Parking Permits, Copies, Maps.
The Town Clerk is also the Town Tax Collector. Billing and payment schedules are mailed to each taxpayer annually.
